地域の科学的発展を大きく後押しするものとして、オーストラリアとベトナムは2026年6月、オーストラリア・ベトナム科学技術イノベーション協力イニシアチブ（AVSTICI）を始動させた。
In a major boost for regional scientific progress, Australia and Vietnam launched the Australia–Vietnam Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation Initiative (AVSTICI) in June 2026.
この取組みは、伝統的な開発援助の枠を超え、両国の大学、研究機関、産業界のリーダーの間で、深く持続可能なパートナーシップを促進するように設計されている。
This initiative is designed to move beyond traditional development aid by fostering deep, sustainable partnerships between universities, research institutes, and industry leaders from both countries.
オーストラリア政府が提供する130万豪ドルもの資金プールにより、AVSTICIは2〜3年続く共同プロジェクトに対して、10万豪ドルから30万豪ドルの助成金を提供する。
With an A$1.3 million funding pool provided by the Australian government, AVSTICI offers grants between A$100,000 and A$300,000 for collaborative projects lasting two to three years.
