The Northwest Territories (NWT) are entering a transformative era, as the Canadian government rolls out a series of major infrastructure investments.

As of June 2026, these initiatives aim to reshape the North into an energy superpower while strengthening national security and economic sovereignty.
重要なプロジェクトには、遠隔地をつなぎ物流アクセスを改善しようとする野心的なマッケンジー・バレー高速道路や、北極圏経済・安全保障回廊があります。
Key projects include the ambitious Mackenzie Valley Highway and the Arctic Economic and Security Corridor, which seek to connect remote regions and improve logistical access.
さらに、タルソン水力発電拡張計画は準州の再生可能エネルギー容量を倍増させ、住民の70%に安定した電力を供給する予定です。
Furthermore, the Taltson Hydro Expansion is set to double the territory’s renewable power capacity, providing reliable electricity to 70% of residents.
北西準州カナダ住宅インフラ基金」は、新しい住宅を支援するため、すでに地元の上下水道システムに数百万ドルを投入しており、「スマート再生可能エネルギーおよび電化経路プログラム」は、北のコストのかかるディーゼル燃料への依存を減らす取り組みを行っています。
The Northwest Territories Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund is already injecting millions into local water and waste systems to support new housing, while the Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways Program works to reduce the North’s costly reliance on diesel.
