Registration is now officially open for Soldier Showdown 8 (SS8), the highly anticipated eighth installment of the U.S.
Starting June 25, 2026, active-duty soldiers, Army National Guard members, and Army Reserve personnel can sign up to compete in this exciting program.
Armyβs Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) in partnership with GameSquare, the parent company of FaZe Esports, this event is all about building community through gaming.
This year, the competition features two popular battle royale titles: Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite.
Participants will battle it out in online qualifiers from July through October 2026, with weekly highlights streamed live on the official Army Entertainment Twitch channel.
To reach the live, in-person championship event held at the FaZe Esports HQ in Frisco, Texas.
Whether you are a casual player or a competitive pro, the tournament aims to foster camaraderie across the service.
