New Infrastructure Projects Launch Across Delhi to Improve Public Services

Delhi is undergoing a major urban transformation as of mid-2026.

The government has launched a dual-pronged infrastructure strategy to enhance both city-wide connectivity and local quality of life.

At the micro-level, the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) is spearheading a massive development initiative for JJ clusters.

With an investment of ₹441.1 crore, 1,510 projects are underway, focusing on essential upgrades like clean water access, improved sewerage, and the renovation of public facilities.

This project covers over 270 km of roads, utilizing a new zone-wise tendering system to ensure higher efficiency and better quality control.

To guarantee long-term durability, a five-year maintenance contract has been mandated for all contractors.

These efforts reflect a significant commitment to balancing rapid urban growth with social justice, ensuring that infrastructure improvements reach every corner of the city.
